I've been designing websites for over 25 years and I've been self-employed since 2003. During that time I've accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge regarding the processes involved in getting a business off the ground, especially when it comes to getting started on the web in an economical way.

Questions I Will Ask In Order To Give You Rational Advice
- Have you already registered a domain name? If not I'll give you clear instructions as to how to do this, once we've established your website requirements.
- Have you already got web hosting in place? If so, I'll advise as to whether you've got the most suitable or economical option in place according to the needs of your website.
- How many email addresses will you need? Some website hosting packages come with one free email address - that's worth knowing. If you need more or are expecting to be sending large attachments with emails, it's worth looking more deeply into the options.
Further to this, if you wish me to provide a website quote, I'll probably ask...
- Do you want to edit your own website? Some people do, some people don't - for instance, I find that tradespeople who are not office-based don't tend to have the time to update their own website, write blog posts and promote themselves on social media - I offer to provide these services on their behalf.
- Is it important that your business (or organisation) gets found in search engines? This may seem like a silly question but for some organisations a website is required for either statutory reasons or just to act as a place where people can see you are a 'real' business.
- Do you require any type of visitor interaction other than via the contact form, email address or say WhatsApp? This is important because you might want some sort of booking form or calendar.
- Will you be selling any products online? There are many different e-commerce platforms - I'll do my best to give you the options based on the number of products you'll have in your catalogue, the selling price of those items, delivery options (UK or world) and desired sales.
